Person Specifications:
We are currently looking for a personable and enthusiastic team member to join our Front of House team on weekends. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. While prior experience in hospitality is preferred, we welcome applicants who are fast learners with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You will be the face of our tea rooms, ensuring every customer receives a warm welcome and outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service and Hospitality
- Greet and assist guests upon arrival
- Provide detailed information about our menu and services
- Manage queues and seat guests during busy hours
2. Order and Payment Handling
- Accurately take and process orders using the POS system
- Handle cash and card transactions securely
- Assist with reservations, cancellations, and enquiries
3. Coordination and Team Communication
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and back-of-house teams
- Relay special dietary needs or customer requests
- Report any service issues to supervisors
4. Cleanliness and Setup
- Maintain a clean and welcoming front-of-house area
- Clear and reset tables promptly
- Replenish service stations with menus, cutlery, and condiments
5. Customer Issue Resolution
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Escalate complex issues to management as needed
6. Occasional Support Duties
- Assist with preparation of orders for both restaurant and shop
- Provide occasional B&B room service
- Support with dishwashing and general cleaning tasks when needed
Requirements:
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays (15–20 hours/week minimum)
- Fast learner with strong work ethic and adaptability
- Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred (1 year ideal)
