Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates dishwasher to ensure that all dishes and culinary utensils used in the kitchen and event space are thoroughly cleaned. This includes the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, including kettles, braisers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, mixers, and food processors.
  • Cleans culinary utensils and dishes. Pots are scrubbed. Restocks all spotless plates, silverware, and glasses.
  • Executes all clean-up responsibilities, including the sweeping and mopping of floors, the washing down of tables and chairs, and the breakdown of the area. Cleans and cleanses floors to ensure safety.
  • To maintain conformance with the Health Department, general cleaning is conducted.
  • Removes the garbage from all containers and transports it to the dumpster. Destroys all remaining food items in the composter and breaks down crates in the recycling area.
  • Transports the necessary equipment, supplies, and food from one property to another in a timely and efficient manner to ensure that it is prepared for service.
  • Obtains and maintains all essential supplies from the kitchen to establish the staff meal break and break room during the designated service hours. This encompasses the removal and restocking of tableware, glassware, silverware, serving implements, paper supplies, and condiments.
  • In charge of providing wait personnel with the necessary equipment for event service by organizing, gathering, polishing, and setting it.
  • Establish equipment stations in designated areas.
  • All necessary tasks for event preparation have been completed, including but not limited to:
    • Salt and pepper canisters should be cleaned and refilled.
    • Arrange and fill votive containers
    • Prepare the necessary coffee and creamer containers for the event.
    • Refill and prepare sugar caddies
    • Prepare and fill bread containers as necessary for the event.
    • When necessary, Polish silverware and glassware are utilized.
  • Assist colleagues in the completion of assignments as the need arises
  • Perform any general cleaning duties.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Participate in all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
  • Comply with all reasonable requests from the management team

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Preference is given to individuals who have completed high school or
  • Prior expertise is not necessary; however, it is advantageous to have had prior cleaning experience.
  • Ability to operate a buffer, dishwashing, and floor stripper.
  • Working knowledge of sanitation and cleansing standards
  • Understanding the instructions for the proper use of cleaning products and the preservation of proper sanitation and safety.
