Student Workers on Assigned Tasks (S.W.A.T.) make significant contributions to the Office of Housing Operations and Residence Life at Jacksonville State University. Each task must be completed quickly and efficiently by S.W.A.T.

Duties encompass, but are not restricted to, the movement of furniture throughout the campus as required, the inventory and organization of housing equipment and materials, garbage rounds, and any other responsibilities that may be assigned.Positions may be filled in accordance with the qualifications, talents, and departmental requirements of individual applicants. Complies with all policies and procedures of the department and the University.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicants must be enrolled as a JSU student and enrolled in a minimum of three (3) hours per fall or spring semester. (International candidates must satisfy the following prerequisites. *)
• The aspirant must have a GPA of 2.50 or higher if they are not a first-time student.
• Applicants who have been selected must submit documentation of their enrollment and GPA, such as an unofficial transcript or a photocopy of their enrollment and GPA from MyJSU.
• In order to operate a university-owned vehicle, a legitimate driver’s license is required.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
• It is necessary to be available to work weekends, such as the weekend of the move-in.
