Key Responsibilities:
Your daily responsibilities will encompass the following:
- Route Execution: Ensure the safe operation of vehicles to complete multi-stop delivery routes in accordance with strict timelines and customer requirements.
- Load Management: Ensure the security and undamage of items by efficiently loading and unloading shipments (up to 25kg) using manual handling techniques or trolleys.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver products directly to homes or businesses, providing friendly service, and obtaining proof of delivery (POD) through handheld scanners or mobile applications.
- Navigation: Optimise routes by utilising GPS systems and local knowledge to prevent delays and reduce fuel consumption.
- Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre- and post-journey inspections to report mechanical issues and ensure that vehicles are tidy and roadworthy.
- Paperwork & Technology: Utilise in-cab technology to accurately complete digital manifests, incident reports, and delivery records.
- Problem-Solving: Adhere to client protocols (e.g., secure drop points, return to depot) to address failed deliveries (e.g., customer absence).
- Compliance: Comply with traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations, including manual handling guidelines.

- In order to repeatedly lift and transport items throughout the day, physical fitness is required.
