Job Summary:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Maintain the confidentiality, personal safety, personal dignity, and self-respect of each resident while promptly and compassionately attending to their needs (50%)
  • Ensure that the inhabitants are receiving the appropriate care by reviewing and adhering to the care plans (10%).
  • Assist residents in their daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, hygiene (including shaving and hair care), meals, activities, and bowel and bladder functions (including changing incontinence products, taking to restrooms, and using portable commodes).(20%)
  • Assist with the selection of meals, serving, consuming, clearing, and delivering room trays as necessary or assigned during mealtime (3%).
  • Transport residents as required, assisting them in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and other devices while adhering to all safety, lifting, and transferring protocols. Additionally, escort them to and from meals, activities, or other transportation requirements as requested or assigned (3%).
  • Conduct routine safety assessments of residents (1%).
  • 1 percent of residents are encouraged to engage in daily tasks, including bed making, laundry, cleaning, and arranging tables.

Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years old or have the necessary work authorization and work permit documents.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Nurse’s aide certification is preferred.
  • Current certification in first aid
  • Government regulations necessitate background clearances.
  • Perform a health screening and submit negative TB test results (within the past six months or within seven days of employment).
  • Candidates with the appropriate attitude and motivation may participate in on-the-job training, although prior experience in caregiving is preferable.
  • The individual must possess the ability to comprehend and speak English, as well as the ability to adhere to both written and oral instructions.

Physical Demands:
