We are currently in pursuit of a casual cook/housekeeper who would thrive in this environment, preparing nutritious and delectable meals for our retreatants. The position would be casual, with some shifts that are routinely scheduled.

The Cook/Housekeeper is accountable for adhering to the menu supplied and preparing nutritious and delectable meals that accommodate the diverse dietary requirements and requests of our retreatants, all while reporting to the Administrator.

Frequently, the cook will be the sole individual performing culinary duties and is accountable for all aspects of meal preparation and cleanup. Our retreatants’ physical and spiritual rejuvenation is facilitated by the creative presentation of delicious and nutritious meals.

The Cook/Housekeeper is accountable for maintaining an orderly environment in the kitchen and dining room, as well as adhering to all infection control and sanitation protocols. This encompasses the acquisition of high-quality ingredients, the proper storage of all food and other items, and the development of expertise in a diverse array of culinary methods and procedures.

Additionally, the responsibilities encompass the cleansing of common areas, kitchens, dining areas, and rooms. Occasionally, it may be necessary to perform certain outdoor tasks.

The Cook/Housekeeper, who has demonstrated relevant experience, will maintain a professional and positive demeanor while also respecting the House’s decorum. Due to our remote location, you will require your own transportation. The typical schedules will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is anticipated that you will be available on every other weekend in the event of retreats.
