A Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide (CHHA) is an employee of the company who is responsible for ensuring the client’s safety, dignity, well-being, and ability to continue residing at home. The CHHA visits the client’s residence to administer direct care by a written Plan of Care that encompasses personal care, hygiene, ambulation, special procedures, homemaking, meal preparation, housekeeping, and assistance with other activities of daily living.
The CHHA is an employee who is under the supervision of a registered nurse. This position does not involve any supervision obligations. The CHHA is a Direct Care staff member who is hourly per diem and non-exempt and has HIPAA-restricted access to specific client information. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.

- Perform minor housekeeping, meal preparation, and other support services at the client’s residence as part of the care plan. - When the client is in the home, it is important to monitor their condition, behavior, appearance, hygiene requirements, living arrangements, and home environment. Any changes or issues should be reported and documented to the appropriate staff member.
- Write or otherwise electronically document visit reports to accurately record the care provided in the home, electronically record time and attendance, and complete other forms to document the work of this position, including incident reports and written time and attendance reports as instructed.
