Responsibilities:

What you will be responsible for:

• Routine Maintenance Tasks: Perform basic repairs and maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems (e.g., lighting, plumbing, HVAC, doors, and windows).
• Preventive Maintenance: Inspect and service facilities to prevent breakdowns, including checking for leaks, worn parts, or safety hazards.
• Assisting Skilled Technicians: Support electricians, plumbers, HVAC specialists, or other professionals with tools, materials, and setup.
• General Repairs: Fix minor issues like replacing light bulbs, tightening fittings, patching walls, or fixing door handles.
• Cleaning & Upkeep: Help maintain cleanliness in workspaces, mechanical rooms, and maintenance areas.
• Inventory Management: Track and restock tools, supplies, and maintenance materials; report shortages to supervisors.
• Safety Checks: Ensure fire extinguishers, alarms, exit signs, and other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Recordkeeping: Maintain logs of completed tasks, inspections, and materials used for maintenance reports.
• Responding to Work Orders: Address repair or maintenance requests from building occupants or managers promptly and professionally.
• Grounds Maintenance (if applicable): Support with basic landscaping, snow removal, or outdoor facility upkeep depending on the employer.

Requirements:

• Minimum Education:
  High school diploma or GED equivalent is typically required.
• Work Experience:
